Question
A truck driver travels at 60 miles per hour.  The truck tires have a diameter of 26 inches.  What is the angular velocity of the wheels in revolutions per minute?

Answer
Let's 1st converse units :
1 [inch] = 0.0254 [meter].
1 [mile] = 1609.334 [meter].
60 [mile/hour] = 60 * 1609.334 / 60 = 1609.334 [meter/minute].
Now, let's suppose that the wheel made N revolutions in 1 minute,
& that caused the car to travel in 1609.334 [meter/minute].
The relation is :
πDN=v ("Where D is the diameter , N is the number of revolutions
in 1 minute & v is the linear velocity of the car").
So, N=v/πD = 1609.334/(π*26*0.0254) = 775 [revolution/min]
