Question
I don't know how to solve this problem: Find the area between the lines y=x, y=3x, and x+y=4 using integration?

Answer
Solve for the x values at the points of intersection of the 3 lines.  Order these points from smallest to largest.

The smallest point is the intersection of two lines, so integrate from the smallest to the mid point on the difference between these two lines.

Then integrate from the mid point to the largest value over the difference in the two lines that intersect at this largest value.

I aquired well over 40 hours of upper division courses. This was well over the number that were required. I graduated with honors in both my BS and MS degree from Oregon State University. I was allowed to jump into a few junior level courses my sophomore year.

I have been nominated as the expert of the month several times. All of my scores right now are at least a 9.8 average (out of 10).
