Question

as t varies, the following parametric equations trace out a line in the plane

x= 2+ 3T
y= 4+ 7T

a, whaat part of the line is obtained by restricting T to nonnegative numbers?
b, what part of the line is obtained if T if restricted to -1 < or equal to T and < or equal to 0?
C, how should T be restricted to give the part of the line to the left of the y axis?

I'm not sure what the questions are asking.
but for part c, i said if the equation was
x= 2- 3T
y- 4- 7T
it'd give the part of the line to the left of the y-axis.
i'm not sure if i answered what they are asking.

Can please help me with this?
Thank you.

Answer
a) If T is nonnegative, set T = 0 and find the minimum value for x and y.

b) A better way of asking this would be -1<=T<=0 (I think).  Is this correct?  If yes, don't bother telling me.  Put in -1 and = for T to find the x and y values at the start and at the end.

c) Take y>0 (which means the equation is >0) and solve for T.
