I would like to know how to derive 2e^x?

The derivative of e^x is e^x .. Let's prove that :
y=e^x. Lets perform Ln for both sides , we get :
Lny=Ln(e^x)
Lny=xLn(e)
Lny=x . Let's derive both sides with respect to x :
y'/y=1
y'=y . That means :
y'=e^x. Q.E.D

Therefore, [2(e^x)]'=2[e^x]'=2e^x.
