Question
(x^2 - 5x + 5)^x^2+9x+20 = 1

Answer
I suppose you mean : (x²-5x+5)^(x²+9x+20)=1.
In this case , we perform Ln operator to both sides :
Ln { (x²-5x+5)^(x²+9x+20) } = Ln{1}
(x²-5x+5)*Ln{x²+9x+20} = 0
The solutions will be : A*LN(B)=0 gives us A=0 or B=1. Thus ,
x²-5x+5=0    or   x²+9x+20=1
 x=½(5±√5)   or   x=½(-9±√5)
So the solutions are : ½(5+√5) , ½(5-√5) , ½(-9+√5) , ½(-9-√5)
