Question

calculs
Hi prof, my name is attir i have one question that is attached as a image file please solve this thnks.

Answer

drawing
π/4
∫ Cos[x] dx Is the area under the graph that is bounded by the 4 set of points :
π/6

{ (π/6,0) , (π/4,0) , (π/6,√3/2) , (π/4,√2/2) } . See the drawing attached .
Let's denote this area as A . It's clear that A > (π/4-π/6)*√2/2 . & it's also clear that
A < (π/4-π/6)*√3/2 . Remember that (π/4-π/6)=π/12 is the base of the rectangular .
Hence,
(π/12)*√2/2 < A < (π/12)*√3/2 . Which can be also written as :
(π√2/24) < A < (π√3/24) . Q.E.D
