I'd like to correct the answer for the range of the function.

Range is what numerical values y can take, so to figure out range, we have to think "What values can y take?"

Y cannot b equal or less than 0 as the natural log function will always give something greater than zero.

y > 0

The natural logarithm function can take zero and negative values.
