Question
how can we find area of a irregular polygon with the help of calculus?

Answer
Divide the polygon into regions where one line is at the top and one line is at the bottom.
Once this has been done, find the equations of each of these line.

Take the difference between the upper line minus the lower line, integrate, and input the endpoints as the limits.  To get the area, subtract the lower from the upper for each segment,
and then add the results together of all the integrals from start to end.
