Question
graph
graph
Hi,

wondering if you could help me with this question,

PART A). Find 5 nonzero terms of Fourier Series
g(t) = Ao + E(AncosNWoT + BnsinWoT)

Note: E is the the summation symbol (greek letter sigma), and goes E goes from n = 1 to infinity.

PART B.

Sketch magnitude and phase line spectrum
g(t) = E(Cn)e^(jnWoT)
where E is the summation symbol(greek letter sigma, and E is from n = -infinity to infinity and |Cn| < θn.

Thanks, maybe the attatched graph may help, not sure.

Answer
Yes, the attached graph made the 1st answer very clear.

PART A
By looking at the graph, non-zero terms could be at x=0.5, 2.2, 4.8, etc.
That is, anything that is 2n + x where n is an integer and x is strictly between 0 and 1.

PART B
I don't know how to do this or what the value of Cn is determined by, but I think that
1) Cn is a series of C values,, where n is 0, 1, 2, 3, ...  ;
2) jn is a series of j values where n is 0, 1, 2, 3, ...  ; and
3) the value of Wo is called "W sub zero" or "W naught", and is a fixed value.
I believe that T is the variable.
