QuestionHello,
This is my second week of Calc two and we are learning how to do integration of inverse trig. functions. I understand just about how to apply all the formulas, but for some reason I am having troubble discerning what constant dx needs to be multiplyed by.
For example:
/ x *dx
Integrand / -----------
/ ((1-(x)^4))^(1/2)
Basicly, some times you need to * the top and bottom by a fraction that is = 1.
How do I figure out what that fraction is?
Thankyou for your time.
Kevin
AnswerHi Kevin,
Please forgive the delay.
I'm sorry i can't help with these at the moment. I'm on vacation, forgive me for not notifying the allexperts board.
I'd still have helped but your question is quite involved.
Anyway, dx is just something that goes with the integral sign, you don't have to multiply or divide by anything. You can get back to me later.
Regards.
