Question
Ok... I have a problem, and don't understand how to solve it...start to finish..

The book asks for the critical points and to determine the local extreme values.

y= (x^(2/3)) (x+2)

I think i just need someone else to explain it to me...my teacher just isn't getting through to me.

Thanks

Answer
Hi Brandy,
Please forgive the delay.
I'm sorry i can't help with these at the moment. I'm on vacation,forgive me for not notifying the allexperts board.
I'd still have helped but your question is quite involved.
Anyway, to find extreme values, differentiate to find dy/dx and equate to zero to get the x value at extreme point.

Regards.
