Question
Which of the full hook-up campgrounds do you recommend at Carpinteria?  Any specific site recommendations or ones to stay away from?  We are renting a 24-foot RV for spring break with our four children--9, 6, 4 yrs and 6 months.  We actually already have one site reserved in San Miguel and one in Santa Rosa.  Don't know which to cancel.  Thanks for all your awesome answers!  You've already been very helpful.

Answer
Hi Nancy!

Whew! As I was reading, I thought you didn't have reservations.

Which site numbers do you have? In general, I would keep the Santa Rosa and cancel the San Miguel because Santa Rosa has sewer hookups and San Miguel does not. This will keep you from having to drain your tanks at the sanitation station, which gets very crowded on getaway days. But let me know the site numbers, and I can advise. There are a couple of San Miguel sites with superior ocean views that might be better.

Hey! We have reservations for spring break, too! I couldn't get my first choice, so we have #12 (Anacapa) for Saturday 3/15 and Sun 3/16, and #106 (Santa Rosa) for Monday-Thursday night, leaving 3/21. The reason I mention this is that we have a 6YO girl, the youngest, who camps with us. The other kids are much older, and are too cool to go camping.
