Question
Hi Steve, I am a truck driver with the tractor that has the house in back. Just like an rv..My question is Is there a place for me to park for the weekend near Venice bch area? our truck takes up about two parking space areas. We usually can fit it in anywhere.Just looking for a space to have some fun while sitting.Thank you very much

Answer
The parking situation in Venice on weekends is really tight. There are no designated overnight parking lots... There are lots at the end of Venice Blvd and Washington Blvd, but I'm sure those are designated as "No Overnight Parking". I'm not sure how tight the enforcement is on those, however. You might want to talk with the attendant to see if you can park there. I'm sure you'll have to pay for two spots, even if he lets you in.

On Pacific Avenue, there may be spots, but the parking in Venice is SO crazy, I don't think that you'll be able to find an open spot on the weekend. It's hard enough for the local residents to park on the street. Note that the streets in Venice are very narrow, and you don't want to go down any side streets, as you may get stuck. So try the lots mentioned above, or Pacific Ave. Or maybe park around the Santa Monica Pier.

Good luck,

Steve
