Question Hey Jennifer,
do you know of any free camping where i could just pitch a tent for a couple weeks in the beaches surrounding LA. A friend of mine will be able to put me up in late june but until then i will be just backpacking and have a one man tent. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Well firstly, sleeping in beaches is not really allowed here in Los Angeles. You can camp in parks, however. A shelter is also another idea.
