Question
We used to go to a little campground just by shell beach. at one time it was called atascadero camp ground.  It was north of Pismo S.B. had only 6-10 sites. no hookups.  Is it still there?  Can you Camp on Pismo S.B. still?
Michael

Answer
I'm not familiar with the Atascadero campground that you mention.  Pismo Beach SB is extradinary for many reasons, the most important of which is that it has the largest overwintering colony of Monarch butterflies within the USA, as well as many other recreational features.  The California State Park system does indicate that camping is available, you need to go on-line to make reservations or find more information about camping here.  Sorry I can't be of more help...
