Question
hi,
I hope U can help! myself and 5 others all from Ireland are planning a trip to  California this July.  we have rented an RV and start from San Francisco and finish in Las Vegas.  we are having some trouble booking campsites.  can U recommend any in the lacuna beach area? any tips or advice U can give would be a big help
thanks

Answer
Hi Orlaith,

Unfortunately, there are only a couple RV parks in the Laguna Beach area. One is Doheney State Beach, which has no hookups for the RV. You can reserve it at www.reserveamerica.com, if you can find any availability. These sites literally go within a few minutes on the first of December, January, and February. You can reserve up to 7 months ahead on the first of each month.

The other park in the area is Newport Dunes, a private RV resort. Here you will find hookups and all the amenities you need while RV'ing, including a private bay. It's very expensive to stay there, and is also very popular. www.newportdunes.com

(I hope you aren't planning on seeing celebs in Laguna. That show wrapped up months ago, and is scripted, anyway. Life in Laguna is not like that at all.)

Have fun!

Expertise

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I`ve lived in the Valley, west side, east side, and South Bay, so I`m an expert on getting around town. I`m knowledgeable about all of the Southern California tourist attractions. I am also an expert on state beaches in Southern California, and have an expansive camping background. No relocation/moving questions, please.

Experience

I have lived in Southern California my entire life. I'm a "local", with expert knowledge of Southern California. I've done a lot of extensive traveling to NorCal, so I can provide answers about northern California as a visitor, and southern California as a local.

Education/Credentials
Not that this matters, but since it's required, I have a Bachelor's Degree. I also have a Master's Degree in the University of Life.
