Question
Hi, we don't have much time but want to go to Hollywood Blvd.-- chinese theater, kodak, walk of stars, and then see Rodeo drive.  If we are on Sunset, what is the best street to take up to Hollywood Blvd for these attractions.  Do you recommend any other attractions close by and fast?   Also to get down to Rodeo, should we get back on Sunset and go down La Cienega to Wilshire and take a right?   Thank you... I used to live their briefly, and am trying to help my brother out for a fast trip!!  Em

Answer
Hi Em,

If you are on Sunset, you might as well just turn left on Highland, then another left onto Hollywood Blvd. Then park at the Hollywood & Highland Center. It's all there: The Chinese Theater, Walk of Fame, Kodak Theaters, etc. Have lunch at uWink. Go across the street to the El Capitan Theater to see the latest Disney Movie. Make reservations at www.elcapitantheater.com.

To get to Rodeo, I would go south at any street (Highland, La Brea, Fairfax,La Cienega, whatever), then turn righ onto Santa Monica Blvd. It runs into Rodeo.

Maybe a quick trip to Pink's Hot Dogs would be in order. It's on La Brea, just before Melrose. You can double back to Santa Monica Blvd, so it's not far out of the way.

Have fun!

I have lived in Southern California my entire life. I'm a "local", with expert knowledge of Southern California. I've done a lot of extensive traveling to NorCal, so I can provide answers about northern California as a visitor, and southern California as a local.

Not that this matters, but since it's required, I have a Bachelor's Degree. I also have a Master's Degree in the University of Life.
