Question
Hi Ernest,
My 16 year old sister is coming to visit from CO, I mentioned something about tubing and she wants to try it now. We (my friends and I) usually go to Cache Creek, but Im not sure she would be comfortable with the rapids Cache Creek presents. Do you know if there is a "slower" part of that river I can take her down or could you suggest another river to us?
I've heard Russian River can be very slow and boring, especially for a hyper 16 year old girl.

Of course, Colorado has its own great rapids along the upper Colorado and Green Rivers. Cache Creek is more exciting than Russian River, but canoeing the Russian River is very pleasant on a warm summer day. The Merced River in Yosemite is also a great place to go on a lazy summer day, looking up at Half Dome and Yosemite Falls from inside the tube. I'm not an expert on tubing anymore, to be honest, and figure that you actually know more than I do about this now. Have fun this summer!
