Question
Hi Steve, we are trying to plan a weekend camping trip for a church group of approximately 100 people.  The group will consist of families with children, primarily under the age of 12 years.  We would like to have water and bathrooms if possible.  Can you recommend a location that can accommodate us?

Thanks, Lisa

Answer
Hi Lisa,

I certainly can assist. The best place to get a group campsite that large is at El Capitan State Beach. There are 3 group campsites there, right above the beach. You have water, as well as bathrooms and showers. The beach is beautiful.

Carpinteria has a campsite that will accomodate 65, but you'll also have to book a couple of adjacent sites if you want to get everyone in. That's pretty tricky. But I thought I'd mention it because Carpinteria is our favorite beach.

You can make reservations on the first of each month, up to 7 months in advance, at www.reserveamerica.com.

Have fun!
