Question Hi Steve,
I was searching online for info on where to have a mini (weekend) reunion for a bunch of us who used to go to school together. About 15 of us with our families. I came across this web site and thought I'd ask you for your info.
We all went to elementary school together about 30 years ago in Napa, CA. We are now all spread out across the US and I'm trying to figure out how to maybe find inexpensive lodging near Disney land so we could go there one day and the beach for all those people. I'm planning this for maybe summer of 2011, so I have time, but I would like to be able to give everyone a ball park figure to save for. Any suggestions for that area or maybe somewhere else?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Answer Hi Starla,
If you want to stay around the Disneyland Resort, I have a couple of hotels I recommend to people. I used to deliver Disney tickets to all the hotels in the area, and got to know them all quite well.
I always recommend the Howard Johnson (HoJo) and the Candy Cane Inn. While some hotels are closer, these two are very close to the front entrance, so you can walk back to the hotel for a swim or a nap in the afternoon. They are a step above the other hotels in the immediate area in terms of rooms, service, pool, and value. The HoJo recently added a themed pool, the only one outside the Disneyland Resort property. There might be cheaper hotels, but the quality goes way down. If you call this far in advance with a group, you should be able to negotiate a discount.
