Question
e are going campig for the first itme to eL cAPITAN IN sb.  wE HAVE CAMPSITE 58.  Do you know the location (under tress) and the basic ameneties for this campground?

Answer
Hi Blanca,

El Cap is VERY beautiful. It's located on the bluffs above the beach, on the beautiful Santa Barbara Coast. Site 58 has partial shade, which is handy if it gets hot. It has a picnic table and a fire pit in the campsite, and you are pretty close to the showers and the path to the beach. Overall, this is a pretty good site. It's "back in", so you can back your car in, and "double wide", which means you can park two cars side by side.

Be sure to bring quarters for the showers. Cold water is free, but hot water costs about 25 cents for 2 minutes. Also, bring bikes. There is a cool bike path to Refugio State Beach, and it's fun to bike through the campground.

Overall, it's very nice camping. You have flush toilets and shower houses that are cleaned each morning. You are just a few miles from Isla Vista, in case you forgot anything. There is a Costco, Albertsons, sporting goods store, movie theater, and ice cream shop in Isla Vista. And I believe a couple of local pizzerias will deliver to El Cap if you just don't want to cook at night. Bring marshmallows, chocolate, and cooking sticks (you can get them at Target, Walmart, or the sporting goods store) for making s'mores.

Have fun!

Expertise

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I`ve lived in the Valley, west side, east side, and South Bay, so I`m an expert on getting around town. I`m knowledgeable about all of the Southern California tourist attractions. I am also an expert on state beaches in Southern California, and have an expansive camping background. No relocation/moving questions, please.

Experience

I have lived in Southern California my entire life. I'm a "local", with expert knowledge of Southern California. I've done a lot of extensive traveling to NorCal, so I can provide answers about northern California as a visitor, and southern California as a local.

Education/Credentials
Not that this matters, but since it's required, I have a Bachelor's Degree. I also have a Master's Degree in the University of Life.
