You are better off finding a weather website to ask these questions as variability can be a problem in the Fall.  I have to respond in F too.  But, basically, you will continue to experience warm days with cooler nights.  Scottsdale, Las Vegas, and Fresno will be hot relative your comfort zone--above 80F--, so don't expect to wear sweaters.  Los Angeles and Sacramento will be almost ideal--70 to 80F.  San Francisco will be possibly the most comfortable for you, having temperatures between 65 and 75F during the day.  Too bad you are spending so much time in NY.  San Francisco will easily be the more enjoyable urban experience if the tour operator knows what to visit, and if your stop in Fresno is based upon a day trip to Yosemite National Park, it's a shame you won't stay there.  Same with Sacramento, in this case with a day trip to Lake Tahoe.  These two cities are not top destinations by themselves.  Go to my pages for most of these cities at virtualtourist.com for more information and photos.  My member name is atufft.  Hope this helps.  Have fun!
