Question
Which place from monterey till San Francisco is a best to camping with tents? we are 5, will be with car and have two tents. Most prefer beach camping. So any suggestion? thank you! ;)

The Santa Cruz mountains have several California State Parks and regional parks where tent camping is very pleasant, with Henry Cowles State Park and Big Basin Regional Park being favorites for me.   Along the north shore of the Monterey Bay, particularly near the town of Aptos, there California State Parks that offer beach camping.  Because of the large numbere of options, I recommend that you browse the official California State Park website.  It will have all the details that you need, and in some cases reservations are recommended.
