Question
Hello Steve,

Thanks for answering Veronica's beach camping question.  I was wondering what section of this park is best for a tent camping visit.  I noticed on the site that they have quite a few different sections.  Thanks for your vast knowledge of beach camp sites man!

Kind regards,

Robert

Answer
Hi Robert,

What a coincidence. I am actually in Carpinteria this weekend.

For tent camping, Anacapa or Santa Cruz are the two sections that you want. I prefer Anacapa, especially the sites on the left side of the map. Those border an open field, where the kids can play. Another cool section is the Santa Cruz side on the south (bottom) of the map. Those are right off of the sand, so you can't get any closer to the beach.

Have fun,

Steve
