Question
What city is halfway of San Jose, ca and Los Angeles, ca?

Answer
Hi Priscilla,

A little more info would have been helful in figuring out exactly what you are looking for. Kettleman City is exactly halfway between SJ and LA. However, I wouldn't recommend it as a stopping point to anyone. It's really not much of anything but some fast food places and a gas station. If you are looking for a midway stop along I-5, I would just say to drive straight through. I-5 is the fastest way to go, but it's quite boring.

However, if you do want a halfway point, then you'll have to stay on 101, which is longer and slower. The halfway point is around San Luis Obispo, or Pismo Beach. SLO has some great places to stay, like the Apple Farm and the Quality Inn Suites. I really like the QI, which has a very good breakfast for free. Pismo Beach is also a very nice beach town, whith excellent restaurants like Mo's BBQ, Splash Cafe, the Cracked Crab, and Pismo Beach Fish & CHips.

Hope this helps,

Steve

Expertise

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I`ve lived in the Valley, west side, east side, and South Bay, so I`m an expert on getting around town. I`m knowledgeable about all of the Southern California tourist attractions. I am also an expert on state beaches in Southern California, and have an expansive camping background. No relocation/moving questions, please.

Experience

I have lived in Southern California my entire life. I'm a "local", with expert knowledge of Southern California. I've done a lot of extensive traveling to NorCal, so I can provide answers about northern California as a visitor, and southern California as a local.

Education/Credentials
Not that this matters, but since it's required, I have a Bachelor's Degree. I also have a Master's Degree in the University of Life.
