I have reservations for El Capitan in June and I notice that there is currently no dump station there.  Is there a public dump station relatively close or enroute back to Orange County?

Answer
Certainly! Just stop at Carpinteria State Beach on the way back. There's a dump station there, which you should be able to use for free. Check with the rangers at Refugio, and ask if you can use the Carp dump station. You'll probably have to show your camping receipt. If not, you'll have to pay the day use fee, which is probably less than you would pay to dump somewhere.

Carp is a nice stop, and you can go to Linden Ave and have a burger at the Spot, and maybe a treat at Robataille's Candy Store.

Addendum: There is also a dump station at the RV Storage on Imperial Highway between Puente and Palm, in Brea near La Habra and Fullerton.
