Question
We are looking to have a family reunion next June. We are looking for a campground that has tent camping, cabins or tent cabins for the older folks. We want to keep down the cost so if there is a place with a club house and a kitchen it would be great. We want to find a place that is kind of in the middle of Calif. with things to do. Can you help? Oh yes some people have dogs. Thanks
Wow! This sounds like quite an event. Within the California State Parks system there are facilities that meet your needs. The dogs would in any case have to be on leash at all times, but there are a number of places that can be reserved in advance, and since you are planning for next June, you still have plenty of time to decide where to go. Big Sur, Henry Cowles State Park (near Santa Cruz), Big Basin and other places in the Monterey Bay area. These places aren't likely to have a club house, and kitchen facilities may be meager, but to find the type of place you want browse http://www.parks.ca.gov/ Good luck...
