Question
Hey There,

I am looking for a campsite similar to Cachuma lake (as far as the family
campsites and have pool, restrooms, and showers) where they allow jet skis,
have horseback riding, and there are ATV rentals and trails nearby.  My family
lives in the South Bay (El Segundo, CA) and would love to find a place to
camp, where its not too far and offers these amenities.  If you have any
suggestions please let me know.

Thanks!!

Answer
That's a pretty tall order. There are a number of places that have some of those, but not all. Most campgrounds have restrooms and showers, but not a pool. Cachuma has those, but doesn't allow jet skis because you can't have body contact with the water. How about Pismo Beach? You can horseback ride, ride jetskis on the ocean, rent ATV's on the dunes. If you stay at Pismo Coast Village, you can even swim in the pool. Lopez Lake, which is nearby, offers fishing and a swimming area, but no jet skis.

I also just thought of Rancho Oso, which is near Cachuma, and has swimming, horseback riding right on the property, showers, and activities for the family.

Good luck!
