Question
Hi Steve,

Two easy (I hope) questions:

1/ How far (in miles) is LA Airport from Holloywood and Rodeo Drive.

2/ Can I hire a car in LA on a British Driving License?

Thanks in advance.

Steve

Answer
Hi Steve,

Easy enough, I suppose. Here are your answers:

1) LAX to Hollywood: 15 miles via La Tijera Blvd, La Cienega Blvd, and Sunset Blvd. Don't bother with the freeways.

LAX to Rodeo Drive: 12 miles. Take Sepulveda Blvd north and follow the signs to I405 north. Exit Santa Monica Blvd East, go about 2.5 miles and turn right on Wilshire Blvd, then go another half mile to Rodeo Dr North.

Just for giggles, see Shrek 2. There is a scene in there that parodies Beverly Hills.

How about this. Take the directions above to get to Rodeo Dr, then go north to Sunset Blvd an turn right. This will take you all the way through West Hollywood and into Hollywood. Plenty to look at along the way.

2) When renting a car, you must present a valid driver's license from your country of origin, which is valid for the entire time you are renting the car. An International Drivers License is not required, but recommended.

Have fun in the States,

Steve

Not that this matters, but since it's required, I have a Bachelor's Degree. I also have a Master's Degree in the University of Life.
