Question
I will be traveling from Yuma, AZ to San Diego this summer so my kids can attend day camp at Sea World.  I would like to find a beach where I can park my 27 ft. travel trailer for about a week.  I'm looking for full hook-ups and a safe place for my children ages 3,7 & 13.

Thank you,

Monica

Answer
Hi Monica,

Sorry for the delay, I was out of town this weekend, and had no Internet access.

Have I got a place for you! It's called Campland on the Bay, and it's the best place to RV in the San Diego area. You can have full hookups, and it's right on Mission Bay, close to Sea World. In fact, you can see SW from Campland. Very safe, close to Sea World, right on the bay, and plenty of activities make this the place to stay. Check it out at www.campland.com.

There is a California State Campground at San Elijo State Beach, and a private campground at Chula Vista, but they are 5 or 10 miles away. San Elijo is very difficult to reserve (spots are reserved the first of each month 7 months in advance). Chula Vist RV Park is not very kid-friendly.

You can check out some reviews at rvparkreviews.com.

Have a great time!

Expertise

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I`ve lived in the Valley, west side, east side, and South Bay, so I`m an expert on getting around town. I`m knowledgeable about all of the Southern California tourist attractions. I am also an expert on state beaches in Southern California, and have an expansive camping background. No relocation/moving questions, please.

Experience

I have lived in Southern California my entire life. I'm a "local", with expert knowledge of Southern California. I've done a lot of extensive traveling to NorCal, so I can provide answers about northern California as a visitor, and southern California as a local.

Education/Credentials
Not that this matters, but since it's required, I have a Bachelor's Degree. I also have a Master's Degree in the University of Life.
