Question
My husband and I are planning a trip to CA at the end of May. We are staying for 6days. We have never been but always have had the desire to go. Everyone we talk to tell us different cities to go to. We both enjoy theme parks. I enjoy the beach settings. We both enjoy the night life. We want to experience something a little different, but want things we like to do as well. Do you have any suggestions? Also, do you know how to search for hotels that have a hot tub in the rooms? If so, please let us know how we can find out.
Thanks for your time.

Answer
Hi Julie,

I do have a few suggestions:

A lot of people who come to CA try to go to San Francisco and Los Angeles. If you wish to do this, it is rather difficult:
Day 1:Fly into SF and stay a day.

Day 2:Rent a car and visit Monterey, including Cannery Row and the aquarium.

Day 3: Drive to Los Angeles. Stop in Santa Barbara along the way.

Day 4: Visit Universal Studios & Hollywood. Plenty of fun stuff to do on Universal City Walk.

Day 5: Visit Disneyland. Also plenty of stuff to do at Downtown Disney. Check out www.disneyland.com and look for the City Pass. If you don't want to buy a City Pass, then be sure to check out ebay and do a search on Disneyland tickets. Look for tickets from "Disneykahuna"

Day 6: Visit one of Orange County's beaches: Huntington Beach or Newport Beach. Fly out of LAX or John Wayne (Orange County)

If that's too much, then just fly into LA and add a couple beach days. Just remember, the ocean in LA is pretty cold in May. I prefer Florida beaches in the spring, the water is a lot warmer.

I did a search using +"Jacuzzi suite" +California, and came up with a few hotels:
http://www.ramadalimitedla.com/
http://www.hotelhermosa.com/
http://www.hotelca.com/hotelca_juccuzzi.htm
Watch out for some results, they just take you to hotel web sites.

Hope this helps,

Steve

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I`ve lived in the Valley, west side, east side, and South Bay, so I`m an expert on getting around town. No relocation/moving questions, please.

Experience

I have lived in Southern California my entire life. I'm a "local", with expert knowledge of Southern California. I've done a lot of extensive traveling to NorCal, so I can provide answers about northern California as a visitor, and southern California as a local.

Not that this matters, but since it's required, I have a Bachelor's Degree. I also have a Master's Degree in the University of Life.
