Question
I was wondering it you had any pictures of the "grapevine" the road from L.A to Oakland, I think it's rte. 5, not sure

Answer
I don't have any pictures of the "grapevine" in my personal collection, but here is a link:

Just so you know, the grapevine is only the small section of I-5 which goes from Castaic to Grapevine, a distance of about 25 miles. Most specifically, it's the 5 mile grade from Lebec to Grapevine.

As for the rest of I-5, just find any picture of farmland and/or a dairy. That's all you'll see from Tracy to Grapevine. It's several hundred miles of straight highway, a couple of rest stops, and little towns not much bigger than a gas station and a couple of fast food joints. Once you get up the hill (around Lebec), you're 30 minutes from LA.

Hope this helps,

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I`ve lived in the Valley, west side, east side, and South Bay, so I`m an expert on getting around town. I`m knowledgeable about all of the Southern California tourist attractions. I am also an expert on state beaches in Southern California, and have an expansive camping background. No relocation/moving questions, please.

I have lived in Southern California my entire life. I'm a "local", with expert knowledge of Southern California. I've done a lot of extensive traveling to NorCal, so I can provide answers about northern California as a visitor, and southern California as a local.

Not that this matters, but since it's required, I have a Bachelor's Degree. I also have a Master's Degree in the University of Life.
