Question
We are looking for a group camp site in southern California at a beach.  We are looking for something that has surfing, but is close to other activties such a ball game or amusment park.  Carpenteria is nice but isn't close to these other types of activities.  Thank you.

Hi Cheryl,

That's quite a few things on your list there. The trouble is that there are very few group campsites in SoCal, due to the extremely high demand for waterfront property. For group campsites at the beach, you are limited to San Clemente, Carpinteria, Refugio, and El Capitan. Of these, San Clemente is the closest to theme/amusement parks and ball parks.
