I live in Long Beach, ca.  The majority of drive-in's in my area are gone or turned into swap meets.  I miss going to the drive-in's and was told that there are still some around.  Can you help me on locating any around my surroundings.

Hi Alva,

Residents in Los Angeles County have watched their drive-in theatre treasures fall by the wayside in recent years. As the population density increases and people move further away from the main city, drive-ins that were once located in the outskirts suddenly find themselves sitting on prime land. Sadly, there is only 1 drive-in left in LA and Orange Counties, the Vineland. All others have been closed and/or demolished.

The Vineland Drive-In Theatre in Industry is open daily for both swapmeets and movies. The area around is all industrial, so the huge lot may be a sitting duck for a weasel factory one day. You just never know...


There are also a couple still open in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, as well (for now).
