Hi Steve.  I'm going camping to El Capitan State Beach and want to rent a small pop up tent trailer.  I am having trouble finding anything.  There was a place in Ventura and when I called to reserve...they moved to Sacramento.  Can you help me?    thanks

I sure hope that wasn't All Tent Trailer rental and Sales in Ventura. They were the ONLY ones that I knew of that even did that. If they're gone, then it sounds like you may be out of luck. There just isn't that much money in renting tent trailers. The money is in renting RV's.

Have you thought of buying a used one? Most people, once they get into the camping lifestyle, camp pretty regularly. Check out craigslist.com for listings. You'll find a number of people selling who either moved up to an RV or just stopped camping for one reason or another.
