Question
Steve,
forgot to ask you this in my last email.  On our trip up to hollywood from san diego is there any must see's in beween?  Thanks

Answer
Hi Marc,

I'm sure your friends in SD already mentioned Sea World and the San Diego Zoo, perhaps even a couple other things in SD.

You didn't mention when you are visiting the LA area, but you did say you were going to be here for 2 days. If that's the case, I would say to stick with just the LA/Hollywood area. If you had a couple more days, I would suggest Disneyland, since it is on the way from SD. However, I would not do it in your case for a couple of reasons: You mentioned that you only had a couple days, and Hollywood seemed your priority. Second, IMHO, this is not a good time to visit DL because EVERYONE is visiting. It's just too crowded. You won't get to see very much, except long lines in hot weather. If you were coming in September, then I would probably recommend it, since DL is not nearly as crowded after Labor Day.

In many cases, I also mention some nice beaches like Huntington Beach or Laguna Beach. However, since you will be in SD, you can probably visit a nice beach down there and save your limited time for what you really want to visit.

Hope this helps,

Steve

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I`ve lived in the Valley, west side, east side, and South Bay, so I`m an expert on getting around town. I`m knowledgeable about all of the Southern California tourist attractions. I am also an expert on state beaches in Southern California, and have an expansive camping background. No relocation/moving questions, please.

I have lived in Southern California my entire life. I'm a "local", with expert knowledge of Southern California. I've done a lot of extensive traveling to NorCal, so I can provide answers about northern California as a visitor, and southern California as a local.

Not that this matters, but since it's required, I have a Bachelor's Degree. I also have a Master's Degree in the University of Life.
