Question
abe-hi im spencer i was wondering if you could tell me what digital cameras would accept and work well with my minolta (af 75-300 zoom lens, 1.5m/4.9ft macro). i have a minolta maxxum qtsi 35mm slt camera with the above mentioned 300 zoom, i would like to buy a new digital camera that would accept and work well with that extra 300 lens is there any?? can that 300 lens work with a digital camera or only minoltas. id appreciate any help you can give, thatks spencer.

Answer
Hi Spencer,

The lens you have should work fine with any of the Sony digital SLR's that are currently on the market. Your lens was made for Minolta, but they discontinued their digital SLR line recently and unless you buy a used Minolta, your only other choice is Sony, which bought the Minolta lens mount.

Check out any of the cameras with "DSLR" in their name from the following page and contact me again if you have questions.

Good luck!
