Question
I recently bought a Fuji finepix S100FS. I picked this camera because while I like taking pics and wanted the SLR type pictures I was unsure if I would be able to actually manage the changing of the lenses dust etc... I really like my camera for most every thing but was wondering if a lens can be added to the end so that I can take pics from the bleachers at ball games. I checked out lenses at Amazon ad have tried finding some at the Fuji web site but couldn't or didn't know what to look for. I wondered if there is a nice quality interchangeable lens that works on all type of cameras or if I am just out of luck and am stuck with what I have. FYI I do get pretty good shots with the camera at high zoom and then zooming on my computer. Thanks for your time.

Answer
Your camera doesn't offer any provision for adding a lens.  However, you may not be aware how much lens you actually have!  The lens on your Fuji is equal to a 400mm on a film camera.  That is huge!  Much more than that would be very hard to hold still.  I've come to realize over the years that no matter how much tele-photo you have, you always wish you had a little more.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
