Question
I have tape in the camera and it will not turn on. Is there a manual way of getting the tape out? or do I have to put power on the camera?
I have tried to power up the camera with my AC power adapter, and it will not turn on. And just curious, how much is the camera worth? Its is in great shape except for the problem with the tape.

Answer
Hi Mark,

Yes, you have to have power to eject a tape.  If you can't get power with your A/C adapter it will have to go into a repair shop.

Sorry but broken electronics have no real value.  You might get between $80 and $100 on ebay for it if you can get it to work.  But paying for a repair would be more than that.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
