Question
Hi my lens will not retract on my powershot s2. Any ideas how to fix it without it costing a fortune

Hello. Sorry you are having problems with your camera.
Unfortunately this problem is almost always physical damage. The gears that move the lens are very delicate. They are usually made from nylon or plastic. There is nothing really to be done... except to send it for repair and it is usually cheaper to replace the whole camera.
