Question
I have a Panasonic digital video camcorder model number PV-DV102 that uses mini DV tapes. I have read online that the adapters used to convert these to a VHS tape will not work. Is there anywhere that I can have these converted to DVDs? I can't do this myself-too illiterate about technology.

Answer
Patricia,

I really can't get specific because I don't know what city or country you are in.  However, most camera shops offer this service.  They usually will have to send it away to have it done.  I'm in the U.S. and it usually commands around $20 USD.  In the U.S. you could try Ritz Camera.  In the U.K. you could try Jessops.  And in Western Canada there is London Drug.  You could also find a place on-line and send via post.  Google the phrase "mini-dv to DVD conversion" and see if there is anyplace that you find interesting.

Hope this helps.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.

I'm an "expert" under photography. I've many years experience in photo retail.John and Chris
