Question
The flash on my camera comes up but will not flash when taking a picture. Is this something that will need to be sent to the manufacture to be fixed?

Answer
Here's a couple of things you might wanna check!

1- Do you have the latest firmware version? You can download it from the canon website!

2- Check in your custom settings if there is anything relating to your issue, it might be a software issue that cancels pop-up when you mount a flash unit and remains there for a while!

Not sure about this, but it would be a good place to look!
