I just bought a new Olympus SP-590UZ. I checked my printer before I bought the Olympus, and it had a slot for the Olympus xD Picture Card , M+2GB. I have used this photo printer with very good results with other cards, until I inserted my new Olympus xD Picture Card. This is the first time that I have used that slot. The screen read, "Card Access Error". I contacted HP and got a good deal of pre-printed material that was of no help. Then they said that I should buy a new printer. Since there is a slot for the card, it seemed like a waste of money, but I may have no other choice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A while back, Olympus changed the architecture of their XD cards.  They are called "M" series cards now. The new cards will not work on older cameras or card readers.  Sounds like you may be a victim of the Olympus upgrade.  You will have to either go through your computer to print, or you may be able to connect your camera directly to the printer.
