Question
Hi John. I am thinking of buying a Tz 6 but am put off by the reviews picking up a very loose and imprecise Mode Dial.
I wonder if this also occurs on the TZ 4or 5

Thanks
Chris

Answer
Chris,

The only complaint I ever heard about a loose dial on the TZ4 was from the trade show floor after the camera had been fooled with by thousands of people.  And of course, the camera was not even a production model.  I've not heard any complaint on the tz5.  Also, keep in mind that sometimes user reviews get copied and pasted.  One complaint of a loose mode dial could possibly turn into 10 or 20 different posts in 10 or 20 different places.  The internet is a goofy place.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
