Question
I want to post pictures...I only have windows 98...my camera will not work with 98...I got a card reader...it would not work...I am computer and camera deficient..what can I do...I want to put pictures on line but cannot afford a different camera or to upgrade my computer....should I put the pictures on disc and go that way...I know this is probably a silly question, but I tried to get Olympus on the phone and finally hung up after half a hour on hold...can you help me...Rob

Answer
Rob,

Your problem is that you have windows 98.  It wasn't until 98SE that windows started to support mass storage drivers which all of today's cameras and card readers use.  You'll have to have the images put on to a CD to get them onto your computer.  Most camera stores can do this for you.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
