Question
I own several old minolta 35mm lenses for film cameras. Can these be used with the konica minolta maxxum5 0r 7. Iam trying to buy a used one for that reason. Is there an adaptor or different mount that might be installed to allow me to use them on a Nikon?

Answer
Tom,

Hello and thanks for the questions.

If your old lenses are from an auto-focus Minolta (also called maxxum) then yes, they will work on the digital Minolta as well as the Sony Alpha series.  Sony purchased the Minolta camera division a couple of years ago.

There is no practical way to mount your lenses on a Nikon.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
