Please could you give me an idea of value for an old Leica camera in good condition with the following details: Nr.715047, DRP, GmbH Wetzlar. The lense
is a Summicron f=5cm, 1:2 Nr.1252897. Ernst Leitz GmbH Wetzlar. I would appreciate your opinion. Thank you, Jeremy
Hi Jeremy,
According to the serial number you have a late version of the Leica IIIf (desirable "red dial" model with self timer) made by Leitz of Germany in 1954. The Summicron lens is matched for that year, and the very best you could have gotten for this camera. In truly excellent cosmetic and working condition, you're looking at $500-$600.
