Cameras/Best zoom for a point and shoot

Question
I am getting my first camera and I was just wondering what I should get zoom-wise. Also, what would be the best camera I could get for under $150? I want a film camera, not digital.  Thank you for your time.

Answer
Leah,

Well, to be honest there aren't many cameras left in this catagory.  One of my favorites of those left is the Olympus Stylus 105.  Olympus is really (in my opinion) the only company to maintain a consistant presence in the P/S film catagory..

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
