Question
Hello Gary,
Do any camcorders exist possibly allowing one to make movies and then extract individual photographs, negatives, or prints from the movie film itself, thus saving having to buy a separate regular camera?
I would like a camcorder to archive family & special events, but desire periodically to take a snapshot of myself or someone in a humorous setting, act, or costume. I might be asking for too much. Just curious. Also, if this type of camcorder exists, could one order it with a zoom lens or add one on later?

Thank you very much.

Answer
Hello Mike, What you want is a hybrid. I found the following article answers this question very completely. Yes it costs a bit more than a single use camera.
