Question
My question is very simple: do you have any advice about methods of selling newer cameras? Namely the EOS 10D.

Canon recently announced the upcoming release of the 20D, an 8.2 megapixel digital SLR designed to replace the 10D. In short, I want to upgrade, BUT, I only bought my 10D a couple of months ago, and thus it is still, essentially, brand new, and I cannot possibly justify spending 1500 dollars on a new camera despite all of the issues it clears up for me. I'd like to try to sell the 10D for between 900-1100 dollars, which would bring down the price 400-600 dollars, which I could handle.

I know this isnt a normal question, but any help you could give me would be appreciated very very much.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Rob Coyne

Answer
Well....  eBay is the first thing that comes to mind.  If that is not an option you could try doing a trade-in at the local camera shop and buy your 20D from them.  Then there is the old fashioned "ad in the paper".  If there is a photo-club in town, you could ask them.  They often have news-letters that you could list it in.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
